There is a rumor floating around that Elliott Dyson, Will Davis, Steven Belliottie, Tyler Goll, and Tyler Smith shall reunite this month for the Ultimate Tree Sledding Experience. We are all hoping this will happen. Keep your fingers crossed.

The Rebirth of Tree Sledding

In October of 2008, Tree Sledding was resurrected after a prolonged period of rest (3 years to be exact). The event was thoroughly documented and features two rookies, Steven Bellottie and Tyler Goll, who proved to be an exceptional addition to the Tree Sledding crew. In fact, Belliottie holds the record of being the first to ever attempt Tree Sledding headfirst. I now give you the renown Fall of '08 Tree Sledding Video:

In Spring of 2005, Will Davis, Elliott Dyson, and Tyler Smith conquered the hills of Lynnwood Downs. Or was it the other way around? Either way, the entire event was filmed and the footage was set aside for 4 years. It was only just recently edited and made available to the public via YouTube. I now give you the famous 2005 Tree Sledding document, never before seen, until now.

Tree Sledding is an extreme sport considered by most to be senseless, unruly, and just plain absurd. Though this is undoubtedly true, one cannot ignore the sheer beauty of a human being sliding down a wooded slope and crashing into some immovable force. So the reality is that Tree Sledding, similar to martial arts, is more of an art than a mere sport.

The origin of Tree Sledding traces back to somewhere between 2002 and 2003. The exact time and date is uncertain but the party involved has been recorded. In fact, it was not one man who invented this sport but four: Will Davis, Elliott Dyson, Tyler Martin, and Tyler Smith.
